Important Information for 2G Cellular Service Customers

SoftBank Mobile will terminate second generation (2G) cellular service at 2 AM on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.

Customers who wish to continue using SoftBank Mobile cellular services after April 1, 2010 must obtain a third generation (3G) handset by March 31, 2010. Customers who do not already own one should obtain a SoftBank Mobile 3G handset as soon as possible.
Should customers fail to change services by March 31, 2010, service contract will be canceled.

Prepaid 2G handset model numbers begin with 4, 3, 2, or 1.

Vodafone 2G Handsets

If your handset model number begins with 6, 5, 4, 3, or 2, it is a 2G handset.
