Service terminates at 2 AM on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
Affected Services:
- Voice Calling
- Messaging (includes viewing unread mail)
- Web Services
- Optional Services (Voicemail, Call Forwarding, etc.)
End of 2G service also results in contract cancellation.
Last Day to Change to 3G Handset Service
SoftBank Mobile Post-paid Customers
Contract cancellation voids the following items:
- Contract term
- SoftBank Mileage Points
- Other benefits/privileges not described above
SoftBank Mobile Prepaid Customers
Contract cancellation voids remaining balances. Unlimited Mail (including automatic renewal) customers will not receive prorated refunds.
Switch to a 3G handset by Wednesday, March 31, 2010 to retain services and accrued benefits/privileges upon termination of 2G cellular service.
2G service terminates at 2 AM on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. However, customers who visit a SoftBank Shop before closing time on March 31, 2010 may change to 3G handset service.
- Basic fees and free communications for plans, fees for discount services, and monthly usage fees for Optional Services will prorated through Tuesday, March 30, 2010.
- Content fees (periodic fees) will be billed for a full month even if used for less than one month.
- Universal Service fees will not be billed for month during which contract is canceled.

Contract cancellation voids remaining prepaid balances on Thursday, April 1, 2010. Customers using Unlimited Mail (including automatic renewal) will not receive prorated refunds.
SoftBank Mobile will continue to service handsets under warranty after 2G handset service termination.
Benefits associated with SoftBank After-Service, Super Reliable Pack, and Backup Service Package for 2G handsets end on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
