About Caller ID Settings for SoftBank 804N/706N/705N

We had some inquiries regarding the Caller ID Settings for SoftBank 804N/706N/705N and Vodafone 804N. After investigation, we found that there are some parts difficult to understand in our instruction manuals. Let us provide further explanation.
Caller ID Settings
For customers using SoftBank 804N/706N/705N or Vodafone 804N:
There are two ways to set whether or not to notify/send the other party your Caller ID when you make a Voice Call; Type 1. "Setting via Phone Book" and Type 2. "Setting via Call Settings". The default setting is "Send".
- Type 1. is prior for the cases such as "When you choose the other party from Phone Book and make a Voice Call", "When making a Voice Call from a phone number in a message", "When making a Voice Call from a phone number on a website"
- Type 2. is prior for the cases such as "When making a Voice Call by entering a phone number", "When making a Voice Call via a number in Dialled Calls and Received Calls" and "Making a Video Call".
How to set
To make a Voice Call without sending your Caller ID to the other party you choose from Phone Book
- Display Menu by pressing "Soft key", the button that appears on the left of the details screen of Phone Book.
- Select "Notify Caller ID" from Menu and select "Add 184 (No Caller ID)" or "Not Notify (#31#): Hide" and make a Voice Call.
For the number registered with prefix "184", you can make a call "Not Notify" regardless of the types of Settings
To make a Voice Call without sending your Caller ID "When making a Voice Call via a phone number"
- Select a number in a message or on a website.
- Select "Phone Call" on "Select Phone Call screen"
- Press "Soft key", the button that appears on "Confirm Phone Call screen" and display Menu.
- Select "Notify Caller ID" from Menu, select "Add 184"(No Caller ID) or "Not Notify (#31#)": Hide and make a Voice Call.
- Step 3 and 4 are different for SoftBank 804N and Vodafone 804N. Please follow the following directions.
- Select a phone numbers in a message or on a website.
- Select "Phone Call" on "Select Phone Call screen"
- Press "#" twice on "Confirm Phone Call screen" and make a Voice Call.
