The procedure for registering and logging in to
My SoftBank has changed.

August 13, 2010

From May 13, 2010, the procedure for registering and logging in to My SoftBank changed as follows.

1. Registration

  1. Use your Mobile Phone Number and PIN number to verify your identity.
  2. A password will be sent to you.
Users of SoftBank 3G mobile phones, SoftBank X Series, iPhones, or Prepaid mobile phones will be sent their password via SMS, users of PhotoVision will be sent their password via MMS, and users of Mobile Data Communications will be sent their password by post.
  3. Registration completes after you agree to the terms and conditions.

2. Login

You now have a single ID and password for all services.

You will no longer be able to use your My SoftBank ID after the new system comes into use.
It is now possible to change various settings including your E mail (i) address and password simply by entering your My SoftBank ID and password.
You will still need your mail account and special password to specify E mail (i) account settings
(E mail send and receive settings).

3. Changes in operation associated with new login method

Users of Prepaid Mobile Services

Unification of the login process mean users of the Online Recharging Service will be subject to the following restrictions and settings changes.

  • Please switch to using the new login method from May 18, 2010.
  • After July 21, 2010, you will no longer be able to login to the Online Recharging Service using your old My SoftBank ID.
  • From July 22, 2010 onwards, recharging and browsing of your past activity using your My SoftBank ID will no longer be available.

Flat-rate Data Bonus Pack subscribers

  • Services such as viewing your Flat-rate Data Plan bill will be available from July 8 for users who login using their Flat-rate Data Plan phone number and new password.

  • From May 13, 2010, My SoftBank will no longer be available.
  • Please contact the SoftBank Customer Support for billing amounts and other inquiries about your Flat-rate Data Plan (excluding the itemized billing inquiry service).
