Notes for "Unlimited Data Discount"

• "Unlimited Data Discount" subscriptions can be made only if the following conditions are satisfied:
  • 1. Subscriptions for "Unlimited Data Plan Flat" and "Unlimited Data Plan Flat S" must be made at the same time when applying.
  • 2. Subscriptions for the two plans above must be under the same name and also billed to the same customer/address.
• The contract is for two-years and renews automatically. Canceling the contract outside of the contract renewal period (the billing month following the contract expiration) incurs a cancellation fee of ¥9,975. (For customers renewing for the first time, the contract renewal period is two months after contract expiration.) If both plans are canceled at the same time, the cancellation fee for "Unlimited Data Plan Flat S" is waived.
• This service requires the use of a "Data Communication USIM Card (Dual)".
• The handling fees for "Unlimited Data Plan Flat S" will be waived when applying for this service.
• Switching to a different service from "Unlimited Data Discount" is not allowed.
• If either of the required plans are canceled, transferred, or succeeded, this service will be canceled and the normal basic fee without any plans/options will be applied from the following billing month.

Notes for "Unlimited Data Plan Flat for ULTRA SPEED" and "Unlimited Data Plan Flat S"

• New subscriptions are only applicable.
• The contracts are for two-years and renews automatically. Canceling the contract outside of the contract renewal period (the billing month following the contract expiration) incurs a cancellation fee of ¥9,975. (For customers renewing for the first time, the contract renewal period is two months after contract expiration.)

Notes for "Unlimited Data Plan Flat for ULTRA SPEED"

• Switching is another price plan is not allowed.
• The basic fee and data charges for these plans do not accumulate points for SoftBank Mileage Service.
• MNP (Mobile Number Portability) applications (switching to/from Softbank) cannot be made.

Notes for "Unlimited Data Plan Flat S"

• "Unlimited Data Plan Flat S" can be used in sub areas covered by Unlimited Data Discount.
• This service requires the use of a "Data Communication USIM Card (Dual)".
• Mail (SMS), S! Mail (MMS), web access, video calls, and 64K digital data communication cannot be used.
• "Unlimited Data Plan Flat S" can only be used with supported devices. It cannot be used with unsupported devices.
• "Unlimited Data Plan Flat S" cannot be used overseas.
• "Unlimited Data Plan Flat S" is not applicable to New Super Bonus and monthly discounts.
• In order to secure a fair level of communication quality and network usage, SoftBank may temporary limit the transfer speed of unlimited data plan customers who perform large data transfers for a certain period of time. Customers who transfer 30 million packets within a 24 hour period will have their data speed restricted from 9PM to 2AM on the following day. The conditions (target users and timeframe) may change in the future according to the communication quality status and in such a case SoftBank will notify you.
• Traffic information is gathered, analyzed, and accumulated for each data transfer in order to improve network quality. In addition, data transfer may be restricted in certain cases. See here for details.

Notes when using overseas

• The data rate is 1KB = ¥2 (1MB = approx. ¥2,050) outside of Japan, and price plans and data/flat rate/discount services do not apply. Please keep track of data fees when using overseas as high data fees can be incurred.
