- IPX5: Handset will continue to operate when sprayed with water from a 6.3 mm diameter nozzle at a distance of 3 m for more than three minutes at a rate of 12.5 liters/minute from any direction. IPX7: Inside of handset will remain dry and handset will continue to operate when submerged in still tap water at room temperature to a depth of 1 m for approximately 30 minutes.
- Do not allow handset to come into contact with or be submerged in soap, detergent, sauce, juice, soda or seawater. Waterproof ratings only apply to tap water. Also, do not submerge handset in very hot or cold water.
- Interactive services and information retrieved from the web will incur communication charges.
- Waterproof mobile phones with One Seg functionality (excluding PHS and PDA models) are for sale in Japan as of May 31, 2008 (source: Panasonic Mobile Communications).
